    On lazy days...

This is what I normally do,

A TFC shows marathon with matching chocolates. Didn't I say that I'm on a diet?!

An instant mashed potato and chorizo plus a sweet message for him to cover up that I have been so lazy and useless today. :P

    Shopaholic attacks!

I shopped til' I dropped last week. One day wasn't enough for me. If only I can shop the entire mall. Hehe, as if! :P This is what I love every after new year. Until now I go crazy with all the sales everywhere. As in everything is cheap so it's very tempting :D

    Look what I found:

A lacoste bag with the original price of 1099 kr on 50% off! :)

A winter jacket originally 700kr, got it for 299kr only :).

I only buy signatured products if it's on sale. Isn't it smart? Hehe.

    Finally Watched Avatar!

I finally got to watch Avatar yesterday with my husband. We watched it on Filmstaden here in Göteborg. It was 150kr per person!

Compared to our cinemas in Manila, I wasn't impressed with how it was here. But the movie itself, it was really worth it. We weren't able to pick better seats because it was always fully booked everytime we check online. Many people are watching it. The cinema here is quite small so the whole place were crowded. We were at the very front of the cinema so we were able to maximize or completely enjoy the 3D effects of the movie. Though for 3 hours, I almost got a stiff neck. However, we still had an awesome time.

All I can say is it's really a great movie and you SHOULD watch it in 3D to fully enjoy the effects. It's worth the money, trust me!

I love James Cameron! Hope he makes more movies soon.

    And for you, my readers...

    I see you.

    My Christmas 2009

It's been a year since he popped up the question to me. Until now , it feels like it was just yesterday. We celebrated xmas at the same place and same family as last year. With his family or my in laws in Norway. It felt like we were at the very same situation when he asked me to marry him on xmas 2008. Only difference is, this time his Christmas gift for me is no longer a ring. :)

'Jag såg mamma kyssa tomten jag! :)'

    Our family :)

We have lots of gifts to open and this lil' kid can't wait...

    And to everyone,

    Merry Christmas!

    God Jul!

    Random Updates

I got sick the last few days so now I gotta catch up with this blog thingy again. We're also busy checking and looking for some apartments here in Gothenburg coz we need to move again soon, sigh :(. Unfortunately, it's so hard for us to find one. Seems this place doesn't have enough houses or apartments for all the people who wants to live here. Most of the apartments we saw was like too far away from the city or under our budget. We're gonna live there for like a year so I want it to be nice and accessible everywhere especially to the shops and to my school. I'm crossing my finger that we'll be able to find a perfect place soon or else I wouldn't really enjoy living in this place. hehe.

By the way, we already have a name for our puppy. Now we're calling her ''Jacki''. :) I have made up lots of reasons why. :P At first we wanted to name her, Jappy or some Japanese names since she's a Japanese Spitz but we couldn't agree about anything. Then I wanted to name her something that identifies her color. Snow white, snow, marsh mallow, all the crazy names came to my mind and I still got a NO from him. And then, since we got her when Michael Jackson died, I kept thinking of something that is related about MJ. So the name ''Jacko'' came to my mind and how I drooled for liking that name for our pet. Too bad our pet is a girl so I tried to just forget it and just think of another name. Until I've talked to my mother-in-law and she gave me some suggestions and we both laughed coz she suggested the same name, ''Jacko'' :D. So there, we twisted the name and got more ideas. From Jecka, Recca, Mecka, blah blah.. until she mentioned 'Jackie'. I haven't really thought about that name coz it's a human name for me plus, I have a friend called Jacky so I might offend her. hehe. But well, I started to like that name so who the hell cares?! :D So now, it's her official name and she's getting used to it now. She'll instantly run to us when we call her Jacki so for sure she likes it. :P

Anyways, we went out for a walk yesterday and we brought her with us while we went to check another apartment. It was soo funny how lots of people are staring at us (or just at Jacki). They all find her really cute. All the kids we saw wanted to carry her and play with her. All the people on the bus tried to get our attention and talk about our pet. It feels like we have a cute lil' baby and we are a very proud mommy and daddy. hehe.

Here's some of our pics while we are on our way home yesterday.

A nice walk with Jacki :)

    A family picture ^^

    One more time! :P

    Smile baby Jacki! :P

    She's tired..

Thank's God for all the blessings and for giving me a wonderful life each day. :))

    Introducing: Our New Pet!

Hmm, it's been awhile since my last post due to the busy-ness and adjustments I'm going through lately. Anyways, yesterday we went to Fristad, (outside Borås) here in Sweden. Well, what we did there is just to check and see a Japanese Spitz puppy, which is going to be our pet soon. :) It took us 2 hours to get there and another 2 hours going back to our place but it was all worth it after we saw how cute the puppies are. Papa Lars is a pet lover. He grew up with lots of animals surrounding him so that's why. Be it horse, cats, dogs, etc. geezz, he's so fond of it. In his family, they treat animals just like humans. Unlike me, I grew up to where we don't really appreciate animals. For us, they were just pets. I can say that in Philippines, most people are cruel to animals. It's not that I hate pets but I'm scared of them. Or should I say I'm disgusted of them. I think they're all dirty. I don't really like touching them and I feel like they'll always bite me. Aside from that, I don't really like the responsibilities of having a pet. But Papa Lars was so persistent and tried to convince me about it. Part of it is because he badly wants to have a baby now. He's been ready long time ago while I'm not sure if I already am but I will be when the time comes. :) So I couldn't say no to him when he ask me to get a pet coz I know it's just his way of longing to have a baby. But after I said yes to him about getting a dog, we had some disagreements about what type of dog we'll get. I want a dog that is white, small and cute coz at least I wouldn't be that scared to them. While he wants a real big dog. He wanted a husky, labrador or golden retriever but he knew I wouldn't convince me to those ever. He considered getting a Jack Russel terrier instead but I still disagree about it. But one day, while we were walking around the city, we saw a woman who has this cute white dog. I felt so giggly seeing it. I told him that that's exactly the dog I want. So we asked the woman of what type of dog it is so there, she told us it's a Japanese Spitz. So right after we got home, we googled about it and there we found out how perfect it would be for us. So then we started looking for those types of puppies for sale and we're so lucky to have found one and we excitedly called the owner.
Just as we get there, to the place where the puppies are, I was all freaking out coz I didn't realize how many dogs they have in their house. It was like 9 dogs including the 6 puppies. But I was right. They're really adorable and kind. Right then, we're both sure we're gonna get one of them. Seems like I forgot my phobia with dogs when I saw them. They're all really cute so we were confuse about which to choose among 6 puppies. They all look just like babies wanting some attention. I wanted to bring one of them home that day already but too bad we couldn't yet. :( Here in Sweden, they have regulations in getting a dog. One of them is that it has to be 8 weeks old before you can actually sell a puppy or separate it from its parents. They don't sell dogs in a petshop here too. They have to stay with their parents in the house of their owners until they're ready to be sold. It's a very good policy that's why dogs here are so behave and well disciplined. The first time I got here in Gothenburg, I noticed almost everyone go for a walk with their pet dogs. So our new puppy will be 8 weeks after 7 more days so we have to go back there again to pick it up. It's a hassle but we don't have a choice. hihi.

For now, we're just waiting for our new pet and I'm sooo excited to bring her home. Yup, it's a girl so now we're also thinking and deciding for her name. We're thinking of Japanese names like Yuna which means blessing, Yumi means beauty, Yuki means snow, and some crazy english names, like marshmallow, gummibear, claudia, winter, snowie etc. (lol) but well, I'll just announce it here in my blog as soon as we've come up for anything. We already have been shopping for her bed and toys too. I'm sure she'll be like a spoiled brat puppy coz we will treat him just like our own baby. Lucky her! :D :D :D

    Til' next time! :)

    The Proposal

Filipino's are known as conservative. Specially those that lives in my hometown. In the early years of our relationship I was already pressured with all the gossips and to what the people would think about us. Not just from my family and friends but from all the people who knows me. For them, living together without marriage (live-in) is like a crime. I myself never thought I would enter to such relationship. It just happened. I was inlove and I chose to be happy. I can remember my parents would push us to get married before. I can understand them. But they knew they can't do anything about it. From the very start, we don't want anyone to control us. But as a girl, who wouldn't want to marry the guy you love? I admit I was ready long time ago. He wasn't. There was a time that I'd question him about it that leads to an argument. It happened more than once that almost caused our break up. But of course, love prevailed. :)

As the years go by, I got used to it. I don't care about what others has to say. Trials has strengthen our relationship. Year 2007 when we had to be separated. We didn't have a choice. He has to work in Norway while I decided to go back to school. I have missed him badly. It was so hard for both of us although I was liking that at least I can focus with school. But that long distance situation has made a good outcome for us. He had all his time alone to miss me, and realize how much he loves me. :)

Until after more than a year of not seeing each other, we finally had a chance to meet again. November 2008, we've spent a two weeks vacation in Thailand. For 2 weeks, we tried to make up for all the times we've lost without each other. But it wasn't enough. We had to say goodbyes again but he promised we will see each other again soon.

Christmas 2008, as he promised, I was given a chance to be with him again in Norway. It was just a tourist visa for 3 weeks so again, a limited time for both of us. But I never knew that it'll be the happiest xmas I'll ever have. Aside from I have finally met all his family and friends, on xmas eve, he popped the question! On bended knees, he's got a ring on his hands and he asked me to marry him. I felt too uncomfortable and sweaty that time coz his family was around. But of course, what do you expect me to say? I've been waiting for it for a long time so my answer was, OF COURSE YES! hehe. :D Right after I said yes, he hugged me so tight and kissed me happily. He asked his family to join us, as if we're gonna have a conference. And right there, he announced that we're getting married. Everyone was so happy for us. The next day, we called my parents to tell them the good news too. They're first question was ''when?!'' :P And their reaction was like, ''finally!'' or ''it's about time!''. I knew that both our parents were just waiting for that announcement. So now, they're all happy for us and they're excited for our wedding.....soon! :))

    How We Met?

Most of the people I know wonders or usually ask me this question. Question should be, where we met. Some would guess that we met thru internet or online chatting. I don't know why they think that but they sound like as if online chatting is the only way to know or meet a foreigner boyfriend. I know that lot's of pinays nowadays do that and I know a lot of friends/people who found their love through internet but that's not what happened in our case ;-)

We met on December 27, 2004 in Hongkong. We were both young back then. I was 19 years old and he was 23. I don't wanna be so detailed here but it was a Cinderella type of story :P. I was working in one of the bars there as a waitress while he works in one of the US-based computer gaming company situated there. I was just there for 3 months while he was taking a break there for almost a year after he's been travelling around the world and enjoying his young and bachelor life. A Filipina and a Norwegian, came all the way to Hongkong just to meet each other?! I call it a destiny :).

From the very first time we met, we knew we like each other already. We started dating without talking about our feelings. I wasn't even sure if he's my bf already. I was clueless about our relationship back then. All I know is that we like each other. But we were tested with the time and situation. I had to go back to Philippines and I thought I will never see him again. But he made a way. He followed me :). He went to Philippines to meet my family and to get to know me more. That time I dont know what's really going on. My parents wouldn't even believe me when I told them that we were just friends. What should I tell them? He didn't even ask me if I love him and he never told me he loves me. But after his 2 weeks vacation with me, he realized he doesn't wanna live without me. To cut the story short, he brought me back to Hongkong until I realized that we're actually living in together already. Our situation, not being old enough and the visa problems that keeps us being separated is what pushed him to finally confess his true feelings for me. It was like a music in my ears when he finally said he loves me :)). But our trials and challenges doesn't end there. Ours is one of a long and tragic love story. If I could write it all and submit it for MMK (Maalaala Mo Kaya), i think it could win a most tearjerker story award! haha.

Anyways, that's how we met and that's how our love story started. I might blog more stories on my next posts but that's all for now. Ciao! :))
